Is there anyone that knows where it is good to go kite surfing in Hawaii in July? and which size kite that usually would be used?
Thanks

ALoha
well,where are you going?
Maui, Oahu...?
check:

for weather check
http://www.hawaiianwind.com/weather.htm

I live on Oahu, lighter winds, but more locations to choose from.
Maui, stronger winds, but gusty, and less locations.
Summertime on Oahu is perfect, for example, right now you can find spots for your bigger kite and on the sam day you can find a spot for your 8 .

but check with us on our site, feel free to contact the local shops, and local members. (under contacts @ 808kite.com)

So I take it Maui is the best place to go if I want to fly the small kites.

But in July how much wind do you get over there?

well, it all depends.
Best way to experience and Kite Hawaii:
Come to Maui and Oahu.
It's not expencive to fly from/to Maui. ca $70

You also can get some privat pilot to fly you.
A lot of flight student over here who nee the hours.
All you need to do is pay for the gas, get 2-3 of your buddies to share, comes out to ca $30 each. And it's a fun flight.

right now on Oahu: 15-30mph, very steady winds. Maui, a bit stronger, I guess, but gusty.

See you over here.
Aloha

Sounds like a good idea to go both to Maui and Oahu.

Thanks for the info...
