Prices of the Takoon Mamoot anybody want to make a guess?

Any idea of how much the new Takoon Mamoot might be and when it will be released.

In the UK...........probably £1100 to £1200!!! way too much judging by the price of all their other kites.

Sorry for you guys - what a distributor you must have in the UK !

Here in Denmark all brands cost about the same, as thats the only logical thing to do, with such competition there is today - and because NO brand stands out from the others regarding quality or performance.

In fact the Naish, Takoon, and Wipika are amongst the cheapest kites here, if we look at it in details...

But they are all about the same price roughly

I have a question about that kite. On their webpage there is a picture of it. It looks like there is a line running across the middle of the kite just above the first strut. Is that the WSL?

Yes - the line from the next outer strut, across, is the "WSL".

Simply a line to keep the profile and structure of the kite, even in gusty winds, and with the new very very small front tube diameter - which reduces drag a lot.

The line goes through a pulley, and down to be fixed at the front line.
Even if you move the front line to the inner connection point - you move the "WSL" also (I got a pre-release of the manual, with pictures of how to attach and trim the kite).

This way you get all the force distributed the "right" way down to the front lines, and you wont get any stress on the kite (except for the attachment of the pulleys of course).

Interesting to see how it works - as we all know that we want high AR kites with low drag profiles (thin leading edge) for light wind.
But this is not possible because they would be too wobbly without a cross line.

And this is one way of doing just all of above.

I want to see if it works before I am convinced - but it sounds promising
