What's up with the Wavetrays?

Postby WildThang » Wed May 21, 2003 6:21 pm

Just noticed lately more WTs popping up on the resale market.

Are you WT riders just trying different boards?

Are the production boards getting a lot better? Dragons, Varis, Gaastras, etc...

Are you guys getting so good from riding WTs that now you're sponsored?

Is there a durability issue with the WTs? You guys wearing them out?

Or are they just so popular that some are bound to show up on the used market?

Hello Eric,

After you use them you can't change!!!

I also agree! What sizes are you coming across Eric, !40s-150s? Most everyone I know is down sizing this year to 130s.

Not Angelo-but I weigh in at around 165lbs/74kg and I also ride a 14, if that helps.

I agree too with the posts above....the WT is an exceelent board and once you ride one you will not change your board. If you notice a lot of other smaller custom companies....practically all of them are immitating the Wavetray design concept.

I deal with the Underground boards here in Chicago and most of my customers are return customers who started out with a bigger first WT board and are now selling to finance their next smaller WT.

I have a couple of 157's for lessons and they get beat up by the students...all are still fine....they are very durable.

Thanks for all the replies.

This weekend, I show up at my local beach and 2 of my fellow kiters have new wavetrays. 142 and 130.

My 125 should be here on monday. I'll let you guys know how I like it after I get a few rides in.

Glad to know all you WT owners still like your boards.

Sorry you're having such a hard time offing your board, Angelo, but I think 142 is bigger than I want.

Good luck!

Eric
