kite drift???

Postby Dr. Evil » Sun Jul 27, 2003 7:24 pm

Does your LEI hold it's position, drift up or drift down, when riding powered and the kite is in the lower two thirds of the window?

If you answer "does not drift" please list you kite brand, year, model and size.

Why ?

I assume all LEI's will drift down, if you let go of the bar, when kite is not at zenith.

But you dont, when riding straight out - so does it really matter ?

The ARC's are auto zenith'ing yes, but do you need that for anything ?

You just hold the bar slightly on the upper line, and thats it.

Because it is a "drift", it is slow, and does not annoy in any no handed jumps or anything, really.

I have heard claims that one brand does not. I do not want to skew the result by saying the brand name.

Damn!! Your subject line & poll just said "kite", so I voted for my Peter Lynn Guerilla ARC 13m (does not drift) before I scrolled down to see that you only wanted input from tube riders.

Sorry! (well, not really, since I blame your text!)

Before assuming that you should switch the front lines and see if the situation is reversed. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Some brands do drift way more than others. North kites lock in place better than most. The X3 and ARX would drift a bit in my view.
