I ride Takoon skoop 2002 kites and want new 2003 kites. I can get a good deal on Cabrinha kites but I like the depower and handling in the Takoon kites.
Is the Cabrinha BT 2003 kites much different from the Takoon Skoops?
Anyone tried both kites? I would like to hear your opinion
Thx

Cabrinha has way more R&d and the 2003 kites have been leading nearly every main contest so far. There really is no comparison when you look at Cabrinha's construction and service. Put both kites side by side and look at every feature. As far as range. Try the kite you will be impressed.

Hi,
I have two Skoop2: 11,5 and 17.
I rode the Cabrinha BT 17 a couple of sometimes.
My feeling is:
Skoop2 11,5 is the best kite i ever rode.
Skoop2 (11,5 and 17) have the best depower and wind-range you can find (i have tried: Cabrinha BT, North Rhino, Caution 2002 & 2003, X2 and Slingshot Fuel 2003).
The Cabrinha 17 turns faster than the Skoop2 17 but has less range. In fact, of all the "big" kites i have ridden, it is the one that turns better.
I have finally got my new GOOD (perfect!!!) Skoop2 17 (i had a problem with my first one). I only had a 1 hour session with it so i can't tell you the whole story but it flies from 11 knots (i am 82kg 148x37 TAD board) and holds more wind than all the others.
I hope this helps!
