The most reliable spot I can think of would be Squamish, about 45 min, drive from the N Shore. Spring summer the winds there are really good but the water is cold and the launch is not so good. Probably one of the most scenic places around. I have not been kiting in Canada since I started but used to do alot of windsurfing in Squamish. You could contact North Shore Ski & Board and ask them or Pacific Boarder, both local shop's in Van.

Cheer's

Hi There,

I started kitesurfing in Vancouver (now live in England). There are three good spots that I know of. Squamish, Boundary Bay and Jericho.

The best people to contact are Airtime Boardsports. They will be happy to help you out.

You should also try and get in contact with Chris Glazier. He is a Vancouver Local, a super nice guy and very helpful. He can usually be found in either this forum or in the yahoo kitesurf group.

But there is so much more than kitesurfing in Vancouver. You should go there no matter what!

I can't wait to get back there!

Alan
