Element ?

Postby Nico » Mon Jul 26, 2004 4:52 am

Why has the term line changed to element ?
Does everyone really believe that the "element" is something different than a fifth line, or are kite brands now telling us how we should call the gear ?
Can't work it out, to me it is just another line.

yeah nico you are right.... but what the heck.... what's in a name..

People wiil call it fifth line .... i do not think that anybody on the beach asking to check there element... (i would run away;-).

or; hey dude, check my one pump system, or pump my rocket strut...

It almost becomes a bad HP movie...

Toby names his new kite; His new (inflatable) love machine...
If we did not know him we would suspect he was not very lucky with the ladies.

I thought people were using element to describe a y connection and only 4 lines coming to the bar and 5th to describe a line coming from the pump leash to the bar. How else would you make the destination. Economy of words or new jargon it happens a lot in every interest group.
