bitchin foto......wow

amazing to be that good.....but

I hate seeing kid on peoples shoulders like that.

It kills me when i go snowboarding and see kids up on parents shoulders going down the mountain. yeah real cool and yes i'm sure pop is an excelent skier, but all as you need is one twat like me to loose it and crash into you, and its not a good day for pop and junior anymore.

I'm cringing with fear, just thinkin about it

I can't see the resemblence with ski !!!

On ski's it will be catastrophal if a kid falls off.

Here he will just end up in the water....

Why should this be so dangerous ???

(You don't jump in shallow water of course)

I cringe also. Just imagine coming down leaning back, kid hits thewater first, head is whipped foward, adult and kids heads meet with a slight crunch. Maybe just some teeth lost. Maybe kid is out cold and sinking slowly into the depths while very unintelligent adult body drags back upwind to try to find the youngster. Returns to shore empty handed. Explains to mother of child. Rick does another kite incident report so we all know not to do this in the future.

Anybody figure that we shouldn't be doing this? I mean if the kid had a helmet and a lifevest, I would say go have fun.

I agree, it is very irresponsible to do...

But compared to skiing, I think it is much more safe.

And remember - this is not an "everyday" situation you and your son would do - but a specific, well controlled photoshoot !

Hey at all,

it´s a cool pic. I wouldn´t do it with my kid..but he (the rider) seems old enough to decide! And kids can be really annoying if they want to do something!

I am the Rider in the picture, yes i can understand your concerns about my son, but the shoot was well controlled, deep water.....plus my son has been on my shoulders since the age of four, he is now seven, he knows how to fall, and i make damm sure that i land far away from him. At the same time i DONT want to encourage things like this........but it is also my choice as a father and my sons desire to be on my back, please understand that too.......and Thnaks for all your thoughtful responses......And by the way hello Andreas from Mexico, hope everything is well.........and its not a Deadman, its a Tabletop......

Aloha OLIVER
