least expensive most durable intermediate AR kite?

Postby Guest » Sun Mar 02, 2003 5:02 am

I thought of buying 2002 7.0 Cabrinha CO2, but it seems like it goes with a small pump. I have to size up to get a bigger pump. Any alternative brand?

If you are after durable, you need to rule out Cabrinha altogether.
I think all size slingshot kites come with a large pump and they are for sure super tough kites.

Dude. Go for the AERO I. They are now everywhere under specials after the release of the AERO II. Still the AERO is superb and very good for intermediaries.

Quality very nice and performance great. It comes with a big pump as you wish.

Go for the Slingshot GTO. A bit more expensive than the Cabrinaha but it will out last the Cabrinha about 10 times. And they fly very nice too.
Cheap and durable does not go together.
The old Naish Aero is too slow. The new Aero II is pretty good.

Used kite as the best solution? Why prices are not falling each year? There are so many new vendors: cautionkites, gaastra. etc -- they must be selling their items for the half of the price, to get marketshare, right? And because of the law of diminishing return their quality can't be twice as bad, especially that they don't have to repeate pioneer's errrors.

Here is my conspiracy theory: all kites are made at the same factory in China. They are painted differently at the end:-) OK. More realistic story: Naish contracted some CAD desigher to make their X2. Next year everybody else contracted him;-)

caution kites are made in sri lanka, in the ezzy sail factory, most of the rest are made in the same factory in hong kong.
