2002 Airush 9.4 - any good??

Postby Guest » Tue Apr 29, 2003 2:55 pm

Hi all,

I was looking for advice on the 2002 Airush LIFT 9.4 model. I am looking into buying a 11.5 m in this kite. Not sure if it is the right one for me. I'm a beginner and I'm approx. 160 lbs. The asking price is $800 Canadian (not sure if lines and a bar are included). Any advice that can be offered is much apprecited. Thanks in adavance. Jeff.

Where can you get a new 2002 lift 9.4 for $800(canadian)? do they have more than 1 left? It is an awsome kite, it is considered an advanced kite but you will be able to learn on it (I learned on a lift 9.4) it may be a little difficult in the beginning but after a bunch of sessions you will love it.

The Airush 9.4 Lift is a great kite. I flew it all last year. Easy to turn, durable, fast and overall a whole lot of fun.

The 9.4 & 7 are very user friendly kites as long as they are rigged correctly(front lines closer to the kite than the back lines). When you start going bigger than the 9.4 the AR jumps significantly, harder to flip over & relaunch.

A really good kite yes - very Airblast like in style/power/speed.

rode it last weekend, proper little rocket ship.
very fast, initiating turns can be slow at very first then the kite takes off like hell.

when jumping, send it back fast but kill the backwards movement really sharply at the zenith to get the best lift.

tiny little struts and leading edge, bullet proof build from what i saw.

Great kite, owned one for a while, give it pleanty of slack on the back lines. Great build quality and bar and line set good, good range 12 - 22 knts.

I dont understand why a begginer would want to start with a high AR kite???? Is it not much more difficult to fly & relaunch?
