The ARX 15.5 2002, and bigger, are very slow kites, and difficult to relaunch as they are too stiff.

BUT - the big ARX's have a really deep draft/profile (only the sizes >= 15.5m2), and are excellent light wind pulling machines.

Just dont drop'em !

But for pure low end straight power they are excellent !

pulling is the right description, if you ever tried to get decent jumps with those kites you know what I'm talking about. The new generation kites like a rhino2 20m2 have the same power but you can also jump them..... which means besides pull they also have vertical lift......

I had a ArX 19.5 and now a 20 m2 RhinoII. Same low end, totally different in depower, upwind and jumping. The ArX became too big very fast, was slow and quite impossible to jump decently. All because of too much profile, slow turning and no depower. The rhino bar length and bar pressure are both about 50% of the ArX. The 19.5 ArX takes as much air (I mean pumping...) as the 20m2 rhino and a 12 m2 kite together, front tube like a telephone pole - Just forget about it. What the hell do you do with great low end power if it becomes too much in seconds? Don´t save money on this one.
