Titan 12.5

Postby DRAZ » Sat May 03, 2003 8:26 pm

What would the wind range be on a 12.5 Titan for:

Weight: 80kg
Board: 135-142(undecided)
Water: Flat-->small chop
Skill: Intemediate(but expect to increase rapidly)

Hi Have flown the Titan 12.5m 2 times already and am VERY satisfied with the kite, I have to do some more time on the water to give a full report, but so far I am stoked.

I would say low wind range is 9-10 knots planing, 11-12 knots easy upwind and small jumps, 14-19 knots optimum range, max. could be 25 knot gusts. (Certainly in the flat water you mention)

The kite is very fast for a 12.5m foil. (Check flysurfers trim on wac kites on their homepage to make the kite fill your personal preference in turning speed)

Very good jump height, at least as high as advanced interm. LEI, decent float and enough time to do some tricks in the air. Kites stable as hell and goes very wel upwind.

More to follow later,
