like any other kite, for the most part....
pull one or both outside lines, kite goes up.
If the kite tumbles, lines are wrapped or canopy is full of water, you may have some issues, as with any other LEI.
But in general it relaunches easily.
How good are you at kite crashing?
There are some ways to crash that are worse than others.
And how good at kite launching?
I'll have to say, it does help that the cloud is hard to crash. It prefers to fly.

With all due respect, canopy gets full much faster on a strutless kite. It's a basic physics. Nothing to do with a design, which I like btw. I like how it goes upwind, like a rocket, etc. I've ridden it, so...

Well, this is true, the canopy can fill with water more easily if it tumbles or rotates.
In waves this is not likely to be solved before another wave hits.
It can be a problem. Actually I would call this a design compromise or "issue."
But is it a reasonable compromise?
For some riders it is, maybe not for everyone.
For me so far so good, it turns, drifts and shuts off better than most.
If you are letting the kite drift as you ride, 45 degrees or higher, fall and let go of the bar and it will stay up there and hover even with less line tension. In general it's easier to keep it flying than most other kites in my experience.
However, if you are sending it across the window powered and crash with the kite low in front of a breaking wave, not so good. But is it ever?
Where I ride, wave periods tend to be short, so a kite down in the wave zone, is not likely going up again soon, unless it goes up in a few seconds. Almost makes the issue moot, at least for me so far.
In waves above all I think you have to know your gear and find what works for you.
If it's not a Cloud, there are some other good wave options...
