I like some odd kit, something not every knob is going to show up with. (How is'zit some of the most heavlily hyped kit get's the most underflown?! ...another day perhaps.) I don't suffer peer envy, or follow stars around with pen/paper, so Hadlow was not why I got this.

It was Flexi. Flexi clearly constructs some of the better kites I've seen, so this 130 didn't seem a gamble, but then I bet they didn't actually make it, or watched it too closely...

It seem pretty much the standard - after Underground's lead - flat center/light rocker. It's 130x39; also pretty normal. It's got a snowboard P-tex bottom and a peek of Carbon exposed at a bevel at each end. The fins seem a bit deep - but I'm no designer.

As someone who's now donated two boards to Neptune - the color is a clear beachcomber gift if it get's away from you. The deck has some areas where the sander didn't do his job, as it's suprisingly rough in areas. The pads and straps are 2002.

It rides fine. This replaces an UG Wave Tray I broke in some shallows this past Fall, and I now fully appreciate the big flips in the UG tips. This board does not come out of the water as fast when you're in those conditions where it's falling, then gusting - but then it was that thin tip that broke clear off the UG.

Someone else I showed it to thought it seemed heavy. Perhaps, but it also seems pretty bomb proof and at home on rocky/shell beaches. As I only got to try it a couple of times before the water got too cold (for me), I'll report back if there's anything worth adding.

.....I'm still left wanting to try one of those Gaastras.
