Flysurfer Rookie-2

Hi,

today i was the first time out in the snow with one of the newer flysurfer kites, the rookie-2 in size 9. I was really impressed about the huge step flysurfer did since the last time I tried one (Titan)
The rookie-2 is way better! It has lots more power per m² and is a perfect loop machine. I had only 2 beaufort wind and lots of snow so the only way to start skiing was to loop the kite. It is really perfect working and besides of this very stable also at the edge of the window.
Very easy to fly sinus curves and my idea was that the rookie-2 in size 9 pulls at least as much as a titan 12.5.
To be honest: I am really flashed and one thing is sure, this kite is mine!

Cheers,

Otti

Hi,

I am interested in the Rookie2 in 9 qm. My questions are: What about the lift. I know the rookie won´t have the same lift like the other FS-Kites, but is there some lift. I have to know it, because I want to use it for Jumping and MTBing. And then I want to know, is the Direct-WAC effective?
I would be nice if you could give me some expressions.

Hi Christian,

the Rookie-2 in size 9 has lift. Its not as much as a Titan has but its very easy to get the lift. Cause the Rookie-2 is really fast in reaction its easy to steer it back. Ways better than on the old FS kites. I love the direct WAC as there is never a problem with pulleys, line twists…
The depower is effective, when you pull back the bar the Rookie-2-9 has lots of power for its size. I have tried the Spirit-10, too, but I think that the depower of the Rookie-2 works more effective. I am not sure if the direct WAC is the reason but no matter what: the Rookie-2 has effective depower and makes lots of fun.

Hope that helps you

hey guys, sorry to ressurect an old post but...

the rookie2 is a nice kite, but the other FS kites are way ahead in terms of lift/float and stability, the XTC is more of a closed cell rookie with similar flying characteristics and the PSYCHO2 is the all out jumping machine.

check them out, they are expensive unfortunately but i'd pay extra for them any day :bye:
