Another Venom review...

Hello friends,
I would like to add something to everything is already been told.
Please be aware that I ride Inflatable and I also sell Inflatable so I have no commercial interest on Peter Lynn, at least for now!
My weight is 156 pounds (71 kilos) dry.
I ride an Underground Wave Tray 137 due to the flip this board ride like a 128-130 of the new style boards.
I usually Ride North Vegas 16 meter and 12 meter.
I had couple of days on the Venom Proto 15 meter that Traig of Monkey Air lent to me, very positive feedback so I bought Venom 16...
I used to ride and love Peter Lynn at my really beginning: S630, S840, S1120, S1510 (very bed!!!) G1 13 meter proto...
Due to need of bigger kite I switch to Inflatable this also due to commercial reason as they sell better and easier..
Now regarding the Venom 16:
A big step forward for PL especially on this big size, the kite turn fast pivoting on the tip in no space. Turns almost as fast as my Vegas 16 meter but need more input on the bar, you really need to crank it to make it turn.
The power is released really smoothly also during turns.
It generate a lot of speed on the board ( I was faster then most of others riders on same size kite, see the table)
Finish, color, bag and battens are first quality.
If I can find one defect is that they don’t write the size of the kite and that the Velcro for autolauching should be a bit bigger and not that close to the tip.
I spent the last 2 days in Seal-Belmont chasing other kiters to try to compare.
The V 16 need 13-14 of REAL knots of wind to have fun on water for my weight.
This is a small table for comparing low end power to same size Inflatable, based on my observation and comments from others rider:
V 19 = Inflatable 16-17 meter
V 16 = Inflatable 14
V 13 = Inflatable 11-11,5
V 10 = Inflatable 8-9
Also the V16 has just a bit better low end power then the Phantom 18 (try back to back today) but turn so much faster, I also notice that the Phantom stay where you park it, the Venom has the autozenith feature on his DNA.
I can’t comment on the top end as wind was not that strong…
Bye Jankie
