PS: Wawando, your weight was...83 kg? I read this in another post of yours. It's exactly my weight, so your impressions give me a good picture of what I should be able to reach with the kite (Vegas 12m). I'm planning to buy it next week btw.

Thanks for your impressions!

Do you feel to go upwind with the Vegas 12m with less than 15 knots?
And what is the most you could handle with the kite for now? 26, 27 knots?
You can go upwind in less than 15 knots if: you ride fast, with a "large" board AND user the microhook. At 13 knots you can start having fun. I only use it from 15 up.
ABout the ranges, that is it. But it is always difficult to be precise. Yesterday me and a fellow rider that was on a Cabrinha 12m where the only ones on larger than 9m on the water. He was with difficulties giving the final edging to jump. I was not.
I had a couple of 30knots gusts on R05 12m. I feel i won't do them on V05 12m. But the spot is another, so I must try it to be sure!
Yes i am 83kg (the signature doesn't appear in the review session...)
See you!

Hi,

Tested V05 12m with 23m std 4 lines bar (46cm).
I prefer it with 5thE.
Depower is MUCH better (23m and 27m with 5thE felt almost the same) and kite stability too.
I will make a 23m 5thE bar.

See you!

I like with flexi strike 2 alot. Great feel, impressive lift, little bar pressure. I was on 2005 fuels till I switched to flexi. Fuels are good and this is not a put down to SS & I miss the one pump, but I like flexi's approach to the 5th line attachment point and bar set-up better. If you test it out on anything other than the 5 lines system you are not getting the full picture. I will never fly 4 lines again, 5th line rules! Wish I had time on North kites to compare. I enjoyed reading your review Wawando. good winds.
