Almost 'disposable' kitesurf glasses...

I wear glasses on land and contacts in the water, so a pair of good sunglasses is waisted on me. I've fiddled with goggles, even talked to people in China about making some kite-glasses. Instead: I've decided to buy "replica" eyewear where the price is cheap enough that I'm not even worried about having a leash to save them in a major wipeout.

These are made to look like SPY (whotever that is? ...I don't even look at sunglass ads.) and fit tight enough and have pretty grippy foam temples.
This reminds you of kite marketing: buy one - get one free. Total cost sitting at my door: $24 'n change.

...the lens' are a little filmy because I just did the Rain-X treatment.

"Cheap as chips." We love the way you Brits talk. That is 'till Robbie Savage or another footballer talk - they sound more that they're talking from the Pit rather than the Pitch.

Our 'football' players are taught early on to not scratch their arm pits with both hands whilst on camera...

.....and don't nobody give me any crap because these glasses do not have magnesium frames! It's Plastic you get for 12-bucks.

How good are the lenses? hold em in front of you & look thru them at a straight line (building edge or picture frame)
Jiggle them about: does the straight line go badly wibbly? (the 'Wibbler' test)
A uniform 'curve' can be OK if the lenses are spherical or whatever: anything else and your eyesight will suffer.....

Hell Wib, at 30kph with spray in your face and all the other things I am concerned about at the moment - the straightness of the buildings on the horizion is not one of them... I only wear them a coupla hours a week, so I don't care.

If I was cruisn' the strand with a summer squash in my baggies, maybe I would do your test. Thanks for the tip.

Alzo: I am happy to report that after the first face plant - they moved off my nose but didn't shake off. Rain-X works too.
