I the video I noticed a few other (traditional...obsolete?) kites in the background and they also seemed powered ok. Did you have a look to see what size kites others were on that day?

I have a 13 on order so i'm trying to get a feel for which kites it will replace. Will I use my 16 anymore. Wil it have same top end or similiar as my 12?

Same problem, I have two HF in Europe on order, delivery in July. I didn´t decided the sizes. Can you please compare the HF-sizes with Yarga-sices (11 HF like .....Yarga, 13 HF like ...Yarga)?

Average weight riders in the back ground were out on a 16 to 18m sizes and they were just cruising and sining their kites to hold ground.
One pro-rider didn't even bother to set-up his 13m for 10 to 12mph.
Appears to be that the 13m will gave me more fun with better jumps and hang-time,
than the F-One M3 16m without of a bigger Mutant on a narrow 128 X 35 TT.
So I would say probably you won't use your 16m anymore I hope,
but you might need a bigger board than I used if you're an average weight rider IMO.
The nice thing is that you don't need much board speed to go big with this kite like with other high performance kites.
Additionally the acceleration is unbelievable.

About the top end I don't really have the right to comment since didn't have a chance to try it in that range.
According the experiences I'v had in the last 4 years on similar sizes and now with the combined riding of the 13m HF,
I have a feeling it'd be close to a conventional 12m kite I'm guessing.
But I doubt it if you could get the top end of the 12m Rapture!!!

jb, sorry I haven't flown the 11m HF yet, so I'm not in a position to say anything about it. I don't have a clue.
Hopefully somebody who flown it will say something of the 11m HF.

Um, why then do they make sizes substantially larger than the 13m you tried?

No, because the pruction version will be 1lb lighter with smaller leading edge.
It will be the fastest kite with amazing low end will generally boosting highest, slicing upwind = lift grunt = hangtime = Hellfish

Think about this new kite with a wider sweet spot of a high penetrating L.E. with lesser drag and altitude sickness from busting huges!

The Hellfish is superior in Hangtime and windward ability with high turning speed,
yields small radius looping and safe static flying without the need of bigger kite’s inertia and drag with extra weight.

But don't take my word for it, try one!

That's just plain ignorant. I know a few that have tried the Yarga & Fuel back to back. The majority prefered the Yarga. The Fuel does not have enough depower for gusty winds.

could you compare with the depower-on-demand Rapture system?

It seems that for the majority of people would be better to ride safe with Windwing than to ride like a pro with hellfish.
In addition it is said that Raptures have almost the same wind range than hellfish, even better in the high end, and that they are incredibly fast. With regular material, with 4 lines, with its ability to ride comfortable in gust conditions thanks to its bar... That sounds like a real revolution.

I think the Rapture sounds like a great kite, everyone who has tried, it including people I have spoken to at the beach, makes it sound great. I'd consider getting one for my girlfriend just because of the safety aspects.

But I want a light fast kite that lets me ride a powered 13m in 16m conditions, for that it sounds like the Hellfish is going to be the ticket.
