Okay, Dr. L says he was just getting lofted in light wind. Best says the kite doesn't loft like regular kites in gusts and high wind
Reality Alert, Reality Alert ...

Mattdog,
You are good! Are you an attorney or something? Very sharp on details.

DrLightWind is not a Best employee or even a customer. He normally rides F-One and WindWing...

some people could just be stood there with their ass on fire, flames licking up their backs, wondering what the burning smell was, while everyone one else tells them their ass in on fire.
but still not believe it.

I've little doubt (ok, a tiny bit) that much of what the good Dr. says about the HF is true- but I've heard many of the same comments about AR's Reactor- very small LE, very light, extremely fast, blah, blah., blah. And it (Reactor) IS a great kite IMO.
WITHOUT HAVING TRIED IT, I believe therefore that the HF may be more EVOLUTIONARY than REVOLUTIONARY in design and hardly makes "traditional kites obsolete"- even if it is the "best kite ever made: guarenteed". It may make some of their kites obsolete, but even that remains to be seen. The Yarga's a pretty decent kite.
I like the HF design concept and if they may have one-upped kites like the Reactor they (BEST) deserve some credit.
But:
a.) objectively, its awfully expensive (not saying it shouldn't command a premium but . . .)
and
b.) I wish BEST would now turn down the volume on the propaganda machine. Let this kite do the talking when it starts to show up on local sites.

Hey, I like his accent... and the review seems impartial enough to me. Dr Lightwind was touting the merits of WW for quite some time before. I myself own WW kites and read many of his reviews.
Anyway, what about the depower for the Hellfish ?
Hellfish sounds great if half of the things said about it are true... but for a less experienced rider like myself... I suspect it would be way too responsive for me and I'd just get myself into trouble... better to wait for a hybrid of light materials with great depower, as Dr Lightewind eluded to... for someone like myself... I suppose.
In any event, I'm sure BEST has more than enough orders to keep production busy for quite some time. Be nice to see more reviews, I guess around June.
