I use the venom in the waves at Raglan NZ, no problems with it.
It turns fast enough and is plenty stable at the edge of the window. Not to bad for relaunch also for that unexpected swim.
My mate comes out on a boa and I have seen no real advantage in the boa over the venom. He is usually on a size bigger than I am on

When I buy next kites they will be Vipers. Hope they have that 3for2 offer still then.
So what does that topic name mean? 1/2 out of 5
?

But don't you want to have the kite sit a little further back in the windows while riding waves?
I am not an experienced wave kiter. So I am just curious. All my kites are high aspect except for my 8 (v4)...and maybe 18 (bfk).
So I guess as long as the turning is fast enough it should be fine?
Anyhow. Thx for the tip.
Alex

Probably you do want the kite to sit back in the window, I dont realy know the details of it. I just use a kite and go hard, never realy stop to think where it is sitting. If I can ride waves and jump and go upwind and do all that stuff as well as my Naish X4's then im happy.
I guess thats why I see myself as a high AR junky.
I just like a kite that goes GRRRRRR at me.

Hey Justoon, Sorry mate for the delay.
The bar is fine, i am using a 48cm carbon bar. It is just a standard 4 line bar. I have had no trouble with it. the quick release seems good and it does work, I have tried it both in test and in anger.
I am thinking about getting 1 of their 5 line systems which is apparently an easy conversion.

Nice nick you got whaleoilbeefhooked.
So do you drive your all Venoms with that 48cm bar? What kite sizes you got and how does the big kite turn with that? Is the bar swiwelled or not?
Danke!
