I had a 10M and still have a 7m. The 7m is super fast turning and great for loops, wake style and riding unhooked. This is the first FS kite you can ride unhooked with no back stall. Everything else is the same as other kites - 3 lines, easy setup and pack up, easy to self launch and relaunch.
This kite does not jump as well as the psycho2 and there were some issues with 'bedding' you may want to check out on foilzone. I like the 7m for winds 25-35mph and I think it can go higher.

This kite will not get a lot of attention because of the Speed. I think a lot of hard core flysurfer flyers don't like it much because it is not the regular flysurfer extravaganza, just a very well designed kite that was built to do the jobb and not brake hangtime and speed records. Also seems that previous flysurfers were hangtime machines and not so much new school, so the deviation from the tradition wasn't so welcome. This is a kite for everyone, not only for the hard core flysurfer fan. Having said that, the older maniac is along the same lines, but its an older design with less features.

how does the speed compare to the XTC for unhooked riding? what about the Psycho II? Is FS going to keep developing the XTC as an all round model, or will it be replaced by another model..

also, the XTC replaced the Voodo correct? does the voodo share similar characteristics to the XTC (ie, does it have any probs unhooked?)

from what I understand you can ride the speed and XTC unhooked. The psycho 2 will backstall if you try to ride it unhooked.

The XTC replaces the Voodoo, Spirit and Titan. It rides well unhooked in the upper half of its wind range. In the bottom it can stall once in a while if not moving.

They're great fun... very, very comfortable to ride. But you've gotta learn to be a better pilot to get the most out of it.

it is certainly possible to ride the P2 unhooked, however the speed and XTC are far better suited to the purpose
