bravo, well said...

what you dont know about the ins and out of licence payments aint worth knowing.... ever thought why bruno chased up gastra, but hasnt done the same with best, nope thought not...

yeh the nova and the cabrinha are different, ever thought that it could be cos the nova is hugely 'developed' from the basic plan, and the cabrinha is just the basic plan...

yeh, back at best we are all crying into the design software wondering how we'll make it lighter, faster, stronger and cheaper.....

but nice to see you're still no closer to knowing what peter designs on.

Who knows? Could be? All I know is that the reports from those flying crossbows seem to be better than those from the Novas. Maybe Bruno is just a better designer than the dude at takoon, and that's why the crossbow is better, assuming of course that your statement is correct, which is incorrect from the information I have been given.

As for the Liscense, I don't care about the legal deal, the point I'm making is on the Ethical level.

yeh but unless you know what agreements have been made, the 'apparent ethics' don't mean f*** all....

maybe the crossbow is a better kite, i'll let you know if i think so when i've flown both of them.

the bar certainly seams better considered.

Would you care to enlighten us on these agreements?

Xbow bar pressure

Postby desmith2 » Sat Aug 06, 2005 2:02 am

Hey Unsafe
You have been spending time on the 16m & 12m Xbow's so tell us about the bar pressure. Does pressure change according to the amount of wind, like flying the 12m in 14mph compared to flying in 24mph. Do you have any trouble staying out for long periods of time because of bar pressure or is there just not a problem? I fly with a Cabrinha locking bar now so I hope they come up with something just as good on the Xbow bar.

yeh , in as much as they hit the 'make 10m kite' button.....
I would expect that SQ would be the last person to criticise a kite design !

After all his arguing about how good the Hellfish was,his credibility is zero.

Why make it worse by getting all bitchy about the competitor that is going to blow you away ?

Give up while your ahead son . You are a bigger joke than Fokiten !

Ok

What you REALLY said in refference to their design was :
"yeh , in as much as they hit the 'make 10m kite' button....."

Why did you cut 5 words out of your sentence?

This just reeks of sarcasm and inuendo ! How fukn stupid do you think we are ?

Then there was this little sniipe:

"yeh the nova and the cabrinha are different, ever thought that it could be cos the nova is hugely 'developed' from the basic plan, and the cabrinha is just the basic plan..."

Like I said son,I would quit if I was you

The Bar pressure is not too bad, powerlock will definetly be a welcome addition though, that said I spend 2/3rds of my time in the powerlock with my CO2's so that's what I'm used to. Once you are powered up the pressure is no longer an issue, only at the rock bottom of the wind range. The 12 is lighter than the 16 as well. When we are talking about bar pressure the following should also be noted:
The only added pressure is to sheet in, steering is as light as any other kite.

The real magic of this kite though is being out lit on the 12 and seeing your buddy happilly cruising on the 16, while others are running for their 10s. Forget the Cabrinha windranges, in reallity they are much higher. Riding in 25 knots on the 16 should be a cakewalk for a 175lb+ rider, I don't mean holding it down, I mean riding. 12m, 30+ for sure.

Ahh just what I always wanted, a 16m I could ride in 10m wind.

Actually, the Crossbow really is a good kite. Watched a 110lbs woman cruising merrily on her 9m bow on one while I was lit on my "bucket" 9m.

For some, maybe even most, that is more than enough reason to have one...
