It is great to have an independent review from such a respected and honest rider. Magazine (etc.) reviews never give the downsides.
From this review it sounds like the powerlock should come with every kite.
If the kite could be made to bank more (ie. tilt one end down) it would probably feel more like it was turning around one end rather than the centre. One comment about the kite possibly turning too fast and pulling you downwind; was that only because you were so powered up?

Maybe your current favourite, waveriding will become a bigger part of the sport because of the bridled LEI.

that is one hell of an idea, hey toby ask him if he wants to be the kiteforum sponsored rider, a different kite for every comp so we get the low down.

i'd pay for that $25 sounds a bargain.

i'd pay aswell, i'm sure any company would gladly donate kites to him to fly aswell.

If I didn't test fly the 9 and 12m Xbow I wouldn't believe the review either.
Each word in Mark's review is the reflection of the truth from how the Xbow flies to bar pressure.

Each one has it's good points and advantages over conventional kites,
but overall I liked the X-Bow bacause of the better relaunch and safety features.
Also I'v never felt anything floating up that long before as with the X-Bow.

DrLW,

How was the bar pressure? Did you find it a bit on the heavy side like others have reported. For a kite that is setup to not ride against the stopper, heavy bar pressure is not a good attribute.
