I too have nothing but great things to say about the Speed kites.
So much, that a 5M, 10M and 17M make up my quiver when i go out these days. Any one of those kites can get flying in 6-7kms of wind, and my windrange tops out in the 50some kms. There aren't many days when I'm not riding any more.
Like yesterday, i met with a friend whose got a PLynn Venom13M, i was on the 10M. My launch took roughly a third the time to set up his kite, and then in the 15kms we were getting, I took off for some rides on the snow.
Jumping at every turn and riding upwind at an obscene angle. Several attempts to launch his kite provided no success, too heavy, too stable.
The Speed is definitely on his shopping list now!
For those of us who know the joy of these kites, man we're lucky. The rest of the kite world will be climbing on board in a short while i'd say.
