May be the next time you can try the NOVA 9m with short lines :-D!!! I think it can be a cheaper option than get a 7m.

Hi,

I have a 17m set waiting to be picked up. I plan to test it with the Nova and with the 7m Yarga (that i already own).

See you!

I tried this week end th enova with short lines (17m instead of the 21m available with the kite). That make the kite a kiteloop weapon!
I like it but you need energy to drive it because the kite is so fast!
But to cover the range of a 7m C shape kite you don't need short lines, the kite depowers enough and you don't have slack back line as with other kite.
This is the sign of a full depowerable kite.
I love my new 9 Nova. I'll sell all my other kites to ride only with that one.

Sounds brilliant, thanks for all the info.

I have one session under my belt with Nova 15. Has a good feel, with loads of power, and loads of depower (Wind was steady started at 15 - 17, and increased to 18 - 20 knots).

Timing of jumps needs to be re-learned, but is not too difficult to figure out.

Most anoying thing in my oppinion is the lack of stopper, to relax your arms and to un-spin the bar... I think a solution is needed that will enable a fully functional stopper, that can be released if needed, by the rider, becasue the saftey aspect is too perfect to neutralise, but I really want a stopper. Any ideas, or can anyone point me in the direction of threads that are discussing this issue??

Ciao

Andi

I chatted to the agent in South Africa on the weekend and they have an interim solution until the new stopper comes out in december. Their website is http://www.ocean2air.co.za

Try contact them (Bruce or Rob) and ask them what they did. I saw it, but it might be easier if they can post you a picture of it.

Like i said, I tried the Nova 9m and Yarga 7m wit 20m lines in high 30s (knots) and i prefer the Y7m. I can hold the wind with the nova but have more fun with the y7 in that wind.
See you!
