im intrested in getting a thorn 126 as a heavy wind board.

any comments on this boards?

I've heard thats its a rely good board to get!

personal experience ... faster than the thorn1 and likes to be ridden with plenty of speed. Amazing in flatish waters, ok in chop if you keep the speed up. The flex on the board is mainly on the tips so at low speed in choppy water feels like a plank of wood (some ppl may disagree)

holds tons of power and has the best pop i've seen in a while. Personally, better than the jamie pro M 06.

In the end of the day it will depend on your riding style and conditions where you ride.

Beautiful little board. I have to ride the 132 due to our predominant light winds, but as soon as the wind picks up, I'm on the 126.
This little board feels so alive, as well as good longitudinal flex, there's also lateral flex between the fins, this makes for a great responsive ride.
One of our better girls tried mine recently, and she was wooping and shouting after only riding off for 50m..! I think she's now counting her cash!

thinking of getting a thorn. What size do you recommend for mostly flat water area? I weigh 82 kg and kite from 12-30 knots (intermediate). Currently have a Thorn 1 135. Can't really afford 2 boards and my Thorn 1 getting a bit banged up. Thanks.

Agree with the previous posts for sure. Really holds an edge and has some serious pop...but not real great in major chop. I ride a 135 as I am in a mostly light wind area, but it worked well when I used it in stronger winds because it holds an edge so well.
