I live in Argentina, and in one month summer begins, and I'll buy a new pair of kites----- but really, this year I cannot decide, because there's great material in the market... and awsome competition.-- SOo, would anybody compare the rhino 6, the vegas 6, the fuel and octane 06, and the torch 06!!-- I know that's pretty difficult, but I believe there's someone who had gone kitesurfing with all of them--- Thanks and I hope it will be usefull for other kiters in the same situation..
salu2 & aloha

What you are asking is pretty tough to do.. All are good kites, just depends on what style you like... Wakestyle, wave riding, jumping, just cruisin, or all of the above. I have ridden just about everyone of those, and some others. My personal opinion is the new 2006 RRD's have them all beat. Nothing wrong with those kites, but for what I was looking for(basically a kite good for everything: jumping, wakestyle, wave riding, etc..), the Type HIRs from RRD are perfect. Plus, the cost a little less than those others.

First you've got to define your style.
Wakestyle vs Allround (Big air, wakestyle etc)
Vegas vs Rhino
Fuel vs Octane
Torch vs Raven
Then you only have three options left.
Tell me your choice!
I rode Torch 2, Raven 2 and Rhino 6.
My choice? Raven 2 since I still like the Big Air but the Raven rules wakestyle as well.

thanx x ray--- I forgot to present my style, buy actually I really like both things... Personally, I have been riding since 3 years ago, and have started doing some unhooked kiteloops and handle passes, but I also really like performing huge jums---
What's your feeling between the octane and rhino? --- U can also mention the raven... thanx xray--

I only can comment the kites I flew myself. I'll stick with the Raven 2.
German magazine kite-boarding.de had a good test.
Low end on Octane was not so great for the rest good kite.
