unfortunately, thats not possible with different kites requiring different depower travel and different riders prefering to ride at different positions across the stop.

i always used to swap the same bar between bfk nemesis and yargas.

asking for a universal set up, is a bit much, kite compnaies want you to ride the same bar as the brand of kite you use...

If you get the Waroo, I'll trade you my Sonic bar for your Waroo bar.

i already have Sonic bar. Why would you want to trade? Do you need to do unhooked stuff, handle passes? My rotator cuff is shredded so i cant/dont do all the acrobatic tricks.

Really im curious..........why?

I hate the cleat thing. It has slipped out on me a couple of times (probably user error) and is a pain to adjust on the fly - especially in high winds. I think an extra long depower strap above the bar (like Waroo) is a better solution.

I had rotator surgery but would still like to work on more tricks too.

Yeah i can foresee the Sonic cleat is going to be problematic as it gets worn out over time. Sonic should come up with a better solution. The waroo's depower range looks reduced by the adjuster strap being above the bar, tho i have not tried nor tested the waroo.

My cleat is not worn, but that will eventually happen. For now it is susceptable to pilot error because it can be a bit fussy. Sometimes it slips out when you don't want it to and other times it won't come out when you do want it to. Also, as mentioned, it can be difficult to adjust on the fly especially in high winds. It's not like a conventional strap that you can just pull down or up to adjust.

Do you have a Waroo and a Sonic, or what?

not really, if you let go of the bar the kite comes down...

everyone trims before they ride, it's no different, it's like saying the sonic is limited because you have to pull in the centre lines to get full depower.

which isnt true.

the trim strap is to let you get the depower you want at any bar height up the depower rope.

ive got money down on a Sonic 11M so i guess its mine. Ive already flown it. How do you like the Depower range on the Waroo? You cant depower as much as the sonic becouse the depower strap blocking the bar.....no?

question to all of you who have ridden the W9 - what would be (approximately) a lower wind range limit for a 75kg guy on a 127 x 38 board? Best site says 15kt, but I hear a lot of you saying less, like 12kt... is that realistic?

Am I understanding it right that at any power/depower strap position the W will, if you let go of the bar, depower completely?

thanks, peter
