I weigh 75 kg, ride a Thorn129. In about 15 knots, I was well powered on the 9 and speeding upwind. I'd say 12-13 knots is very realistic if you work the kite a bit.
And yes, the kite just sits up there totally powerless. Just grab the bar, and it won't even get wet.
I´m getting myself a 9 for highwinds.
But hey, we´re talking a 9 here! I didn´t expect to get away, and be well powered in 15 knots! I´d say the lowendcapability is a nice bonus
