Postby gspot » Mon Jan 23, 2006 12:03 pm

Hi there,

Im new to this forum, so maybe Im in the wrong area.
I'm lloking for a nice wave spot in the beginning of June. No money to go to hawai or so, so europe/ africa (Cabo verde?) are nice.

thanks! gspot

Try Peru. Even though it is winter at that time in the southern hemisphere, the northern coast of peru will offer 22 to 24 deg. C water, winds ranging from 15 to 28 knots EVERY DAY and the best point breaks in the region. Don't forget the sun, which will join you daily.
Between Cabo Blanco and Zorritos you can find an endless supply of beach brakes, point brakes and flats. All of them with steady sideshore wind (starting 11.00 am). Ideal grounds for long downwinders !!!!
The most expensive part of your trip will be the airfare, but with enough time for bargain hunting you can get to Lima for about EUR 600. USD 30 will take you to Mancora (best spot to be). Lodging ranges from USD 20 to 60. Food is ridiculuously cheap.
If it is wind & waves you want, this is most definitely THE PLACE!!!!

if you decide for Peru, check with me first (eberlperu@terra.com.pe) since there are other interesting spots and we may be able to set up a small group wich will be more convenient for our shallow pockets.
