I'll start by saying that the 8m Thruster is a VERY fun kite to fly. It's incredibly fast (as most 8m kites are) but stable and controllable. With light bar pressure it's easy to fly with one hand. Jumping the kite is a real treat. I felt like I was able to "fly" the kite while in the air and the hang time was perhaps my favorite part. At times I think I was just hovering above the water. Such a cool feeling. :thumb:

The kite loops quickly making it forgiving when practicing hooked in kite loops (I'm still learning these).

Overall, the 8m Thruster is a fun kite that wont disappoint those looking for big jumps and a fast turning machine.

I like the 8m when it's blowing 25+ mph. Use the knot closest to the kite. It's a great kite, but keep in mind it's an 8m. Of course the wind speed is only one factor with your body weight, and board being others.

I'm 220 lbs and couldn't get any usable power on the 8m in 25-30 mph winds until i finally tuned it by making the steering lines shorter on the rider side (put on third knot) and by putting the larks head on the knot closest to the kite. I usually leave the center lines alone. After I did that the kite rocked and I finally had fun on it. Insane hang time, great lift, super fast.
