Slingshot SX 2010 What size board

I am looking to buy the new 2010 slingshot sx, I am 6ft 200lbs I ride a 138 liquid force mission now. I was looking to get the 143 Slingshot. I never rode on anything smaller than 138. What are the pros and cons of a smaller board versus a bigger boards besides better low wind on the bigger board.
I will be ridding in choppy waters with high winds to low winds. Basic Intermediate level abilities. Is 143 going to be too big for high winds etc, should I try the 137 or smaller. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

143! Really like the board in that length. Very surf-like feel with a nice flex. I am 6'4" 195 lbs and it's perfect for me. Prior I rode 135-138 for several years, but I like the longer length more now. I just turned my 09 143 for the 2010 143.

I think there are no negatives for the 143 vs the 138 for guys our size at all, and all benefit.

I agree TOTALLY with Hybridkiter. I came off the 137 SX, after 3 years and this year rode the 143 SX. Does everything the smaller board did but has just enough "extra glide", to to keep us bigger guys going in the lulls and just "surfin, without the kite", I'm 195lbs. I've used it from lightly powered 12M to fully lit on my 8M, I ride RPM's, Sweet Kites, by the way. Used to travel just with 146 Misfit, but missed the turning of the SX, now may only take the 143 SX as my travel board. The 2010 is improved over the 2009, and footbeds and straps are better. Can't say enough good about the SX 143, and can't think of any negatives as compared to SX 137.
