I keep hearing it but not seeing or experiencing it. With the C shape there is no sense supporting the wings only the center if anything.

Kitesurfing terminology is unfortunately tainted by techies and lacks a shakespearian understanding of life... for example: What is in a name? A Rose by any other name would smell as sweet!
I think this kite should have been called an 'O' kite, because it is an original Ozone design with some characteristics of other kites, and some new thoughts from modern day technology.
When you say C kite it seems everyone has an opinion without opening up to understand the meal that is on the plate before them. A chicken ain't no duck, but they are birds. Some C's have more wasted wing tip material and appear to be even more drastically C shape. Some have 5th lines as that is what the designer felt gave that kite what it needed for support and the overall performance being sought. Ozone has chosen a shape that gives dynamic performance (rider feedback here, so thank you string kiters worldwide!) and Ozone has chosen to bridle the kite in a manner that allows a more drastic angle of attack than found on traditional C kites, a direct feeling with no pulleys in the bar, and an easy relaunch.
That said, check out this photo of the C4's LE bridle, unlike other Ozone bridles that come out in front and are more centered, this bridle follows the wing down to the tip. The front line attachment comes down to the tip and connects where an old school C-kite would, near the front of the squared off tip.
Its almost like they shaved the leading edge down, and replaced it with a bridle where the material used to be, resulting in a canopy with a fun shape to fly and a wind range better than the current Ozone Sport.
Windzup,
Brian Schenck
BTW - I have only flown the 11m C4 in gusty gorge winds when others were on 7-9m's. I am waiting to give full feedback until I have flown all sizes and in more varied conditions. As for the Gorge, this kite ate up the gusts and was fun to fly in the winds...2 thumbs up so far.

Here's a couple more pics of the C4...
As for firsts, I wouldn't know where to start.. seems to me my 99 Wipika classic had bridles and it was a 2 line C. ?
