I'm currently riding 2008 7m &9m Sports and 2009 11m &13m Sports. I'm updating the quiver and need some sizing advice. I thinking of keeping my 7m & 11m Sports and adding a 9m & 13m C4's and a Zephyr. Some people are telling me the 13m C4 will be about the same power as my 2009 11m Sport. Any advice?

I just had a few sessions on my 13m C4 in light wind, I'd say I can treat it like any ozone 13m and I've had a few. It may have a slight disadvantage on the lower end than my 13m Edge 2008 which generates a lot from flying speed, but I'd say it's barely different. The entire feel is different obviously, and as far as unhooking in light wind the C4 kills my Edge which wouldn't even get me off the ground poping unhooked, and the Edge is more of a challenge to handle the backstall. Especially trying to get the depower right for unhooking. The C4, doesn't matter... just unhook when you feel like it. Sick kite for sure.

I weigh 79kg and ride a 130 x 40 TT and a 136 x 44 wave-skim in 15 to 28 knots. What quiver of c4's would be recommendable:
9 + 12 or
9 + 13 (is this gap too large?)

For me the 9 and the 13 will do the job and both kites will work at the same time around 20 giving me some overlap. I'm amazed they made so many size options.

I demo'd the 11m C4 and totally want C4's now. Trying to decide on the quiver, like the last post. I am curious about the gap between a 9 and 13? Since the 11m is the reason I liked this kite so much, I don't want to be disappointing with how the 13m feels. Is the 13m still nearly as fast as the 11m? Is the 13m still a good kite for old school jumping or too slow?

If I was too buy again, Id go 13 and 10.

I have 13 and 9 but feel there is a bit of a gap this year. Low end on the 9 aint as good as before and I like to ride well powered. In saying that. Top end is impressive. Ive had it out in 35 knots and fairly comfortable.

13 is super for boost and hang time. I am progressing lots with it. Cant felt its turning speed at all.

I think I may just have to get the 11 now to keep me happy in all conditions. I have the 7 too but just have not had enough wind to get out on it.

The size range this year is mad alright. But suppose its going to cover everyone and their local conditions. Just a bit a bit of a headache which ones to choose. But you will be well happy with whatever u get.

How much do you weigh?
What is your board size?
Flat, choppy or waves?
What windrange do you cover with your 9 + 13 quiver?
Where is the gap?

13, Ill hold till 20 knots at a push and Ill have enough low end to get going around 11/12 knots depending on water conditions. Prefer to get the 9 out at >20knots but its those days were winds are ranging between 15-25knots I either have to work the 9 in the lulls or hang on hard to the 13. I just think a 10 would have that better low end for me.

but @ 79kg you will probably be quite happy with 12 + 9 combo.

Hi, got new 12 meter c4 arriving at end of the week, how does everyone set up their rear line adjusters? on my light xc's i have them almost all the way in.

also i've got a 8 meter catalyst coming too, which i'm gonna fly on the c4 bar, any adjustments needed?
