just did the calc's and 300kg = 661.3lb (close enough) so yeah its plenty strong enough.
ever heard the term "too many cooks can spoil the broth" that is one good reason i dont think companies should show protptypes and ask for all riders suggestions, there would be just too many ideas! besides that what team riders etc are for, product feedback and development is a small part of what they should be helping the company with. it may have worked with some companies in the past though.
been using this for a while and the release (red collar) has a stippled finish that is not slippery so dont worry about trying to get a grip on it. the loop only looks small in the pics, its smaller than the previous CL which was over generous IMO! but its not smaller than a naish or SS loop, in fact it holds its shape really well and with the self aligning feature i dont have a problem hooking back in and have not had to use my hand to hook back in once since i started testing this CL. had a lot of my friends comment on how much they like it when they see it down the beach.
BTW my bar got chunked up

but it was because of the way i packed it and it rubbed while being under a stack of gear!
