thoughts on CrazyFly Bulldozer?

Postby KiteDipper » Tue Apr 26, 2011 4:33 pm

I'm an intermediate-level rider thinking about buying a 2011 CrazyFly Bulldozer for freestyle and eventually some wakestyle riding. I can't find much in the way of reviews online and would love to hear from anyone who owns or has tried this board (including previous year's models). Thoughts on pop, performance in chop, stability of the board on landings, any issues (e.g., spray), and whether it has adequate upwind ability are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

My oldest child loves the board. He's learning advanced power tricks on this board. Great pop and you'll get some spray in heavy chop (which is normal from the shape).

It feels faster than Raptor 2011 LTD.

what do you mean by wakestyle riding? if you want to put boots on this board - check the insert spacing, since it`s 6`5 inches while most bindings require 6`..

if you want a stiff board which accelerates fast and is comfortable to control in large speed and chop - bulldozer is your choice. it has a good amount of load`n`pop too and sticky landings <= not too much of concave, which is good.

if you want a board to hit sliders - i would recommend something with more rocker to be able to pop downwind as required when hitting obstacles. but you will loose boardspeed, acceleration and upwind/ lightwind perfomance.

actually you need 2 different boards for aggressive freestyle and obstacles.
