WOW those fins look scary especially if you crash on it... :o

I'm also riding foils one of my friends makes them here in Hungary (Kitech, I would be surprised if anyone heard about the brand). We have some big lakes with super gusty winds and many 8-10 knts days when only foils are useable.
I have a 9m2 and a 15m2 foil and can ride about 9-30knts with a 144cm door and a normal 132cm board.

I tried a 19m2 (the biggest my mate makes) a few times but its just too slow for my taste but the hangtime is out of this planet :)

Its funny how the other kiters here look at these foils (many times I'm the only one with a foil on the beach), some of them won't even help to land it even if I say how to do it. I suppose it lacks the cool factor of a shiny tube kite and often I feel like a weirdo :) And when the wind drops to 10knts and I'm the only one cruising I can feel the hatred from the shore.

But every season there are a few kiters who dare to approach me, and asks about my kite which is obviously made by the devil. If someone manages to overcome the prejudgements and tries it, usually he ends up buying one and then a creepy laughter is heard on the beach: "Welcome to the dark side brother, from here its no return!" :D

Paul,

It seems that the Flyrace is almost like riding a Foilboard? Because of the lift created ?

Sort of yes... but not as much lift because of the fin size.
But you can feel lots of force... takes some skill and best thing is you can learn with juts a bit of fin
in the water... easy... then add more as you get better...

With all other fix fins, raceboards etc you get what you get... and when there is too much fin as wind picts up
or shallow water in place you can't change...
So the Flyrace for a great all round fun board with super low potential. Also I'm making some longer fins
for Customers that are getting good at the Flyrace.... and me too!

See this pict.... I'm making it foil up...

I like this Spring Shot of Customer on there Speeds....
Only ones kiting lower winds.... They all are on Flyraces....

Open minded professionals wanting to kite more and waste less time...
Most hard core Kiters here that have kited even each month in winter... on water.

When they go to kite they don't want to stand around... Time is money...
Take a day off and find winds lower than forecaster is a wasted day...
Busy kiters need some good off time off or life is no fun..
Oh and Girls.... Elaine just got her 15m....

I've never crashed on the Fin.. for some reason that never happens even as hard as I ride it... and wipeout
going as fast as I can.
Also no one I know has ever crashed on it. Also the end doesn't have to be sharp like some raceboards....
The Fun keeps on coming...

I like all the Sizes... 8m-21m all fun! As long as they all give me Power to Fly!
Riding back and forth... Get on a bigger kite and get some air and off the beach...
All kites get slower as they get bigger... but the alternative is standing on the beach...

If you don't need to kite more or have a windy place.... No need for 21m...
Unless like many of us..

- When we are tired of gusty higher winds and getting sand blasted and need a break from it.
- Have been beat up from kiting really hard sore knees back and so on.
- Want to tap into the same spot but with flatter water and Smoother winds.
- Want to ride when there are less Crowds of kiter around (They can kite in Super low winds)
- Pass up a rainy windy day for a Lighter wind SUNNY Day!
-Your big kite falls out of the Sky on Lulls.

I have to say I really enjoy those Smooth wind day! and pass on the rainy days to get more Sunny Ones! :)

Really the 21m meant for Kiters that want the above and...
More power to do most of what you like to do when it's windier... (Upwind, Jump, Tricks maybe)
more fun, more kiting, especially heavier riders... Problem, Solution kind of thing...
Fill in those missed weekends and days off with low winds if needed....
Kite on the regular Skunked day... reduce walk of shame.... Wind Insurance...!

On 8m Today... No big kite needed... :) but sure look forward to the smoother lighter days too...
A Different Ride! Change it up!
More Picts...

Yeah don't start with these Adjustable Heel Straps on....
Only for intermediate.. advanced Flyrace session.... some will never use them....
Your feet might not come out... on wipeouts. I don't mind, I spin myself around.... even with my head under water... My board basically never comes off almost like riding in Wakeboarding Boots...
(Oh... I have a safety Clip Release in case...)
Now I'm basically locked in well for Tricks and Boosting....

I got into liking the Locked in Feeling Snowkiting on my Aboards Reverse with Swivel plates.
