Haha, you guys amuse me.

This post was about the performace aspects of the kites but the Switch crew are getting their knickers in a knot about the pricing.

Well, from the Switch site itself, the pricing to our country is as follows:

9m Method $655
Bar & lines $275
Total $930

When it gets here, you immediately pay 14% VAT on that amount (law of the land), so add $130

Plus, you pay customs clearance f& handling fees etc, so you can add another (conservatively) $130.

So, let's see:
$930
$130
$130
Total $1190

Hhhmmm .... ??

When you buy a car for $25k, do you tell everyone you spent $35 reasoning to yourself that you added in the Gas and insurance without telling anyone that?

Your countries taxes are your problem. Yes that sucks, but dont sell it as being everyone elses actual cost to.

I paid no additional fees with my orders to Canada.

For the last time, the price quoted on the Switch site INCLUDES VAT AND CUSTOMS DUTY. The prices quoted on the site are the prices US CUSTOMERS PAY TO HAVE IT DELIVERED TO THEIR DOOR. As a retailer you should know better than anyone the hundres of dollars added to the cost of kites by retailers and distributors, so it shouldnt come as any surprise that Switch can sell at a fraction of the cost by cutting this out. Can you please stop making up total rubbish now. Although as a retailer I can understand you are worried about the prices :remybussi:

*sigh*
You guys can believe whatever you want regarding the pricing. It is what it is. No volume of people who canot take the time to read and digest what I have written, shouting about how right they are, will actually make it so.
In this country(my country/where I live/where the example is based on/not your country/not the USA/not Canada/geddit?) the landed cost of the product is exactly as detailed prevously. Sorry guys. Just grow up and deal with it.

Maybe you guys should start another thread in the main forum discussing the actual landed cost of Switch products in various parts to the world.
That would be an appropriate place to discuss that and I'm sure that you'd get lots of input..

I came here to put some perspective on the PERFORMANCE aspects of the CAUTION SPITFIRE 9m as asked by the OP and I have done that.

You opened the can of worms - be prepared to back-up your point of view :nono:

But you are correct - stick to the performance aspects.
