Cabrinha Fireball System: Why Buy

Cabrinha Fireball System: Why Buy

The returning Cabrinha 1X with TrimLite Control System sets the standard for simplicity and safety. The lightweight design and fixed length design of the bar allows the rider to keep things simple. Activation of the 1X's single line flagging system allows the rider to immediately remove power from the kite and safely return you to land. The TrimLite Cleat allows the rider to precisely control the trim setting with a quick and easy pull of a line, located within arm's reach. This design increases the rider dedicated to the Cabrinha brand to utilize a more widely-used method of trimming the kite, rather than their traditional Recoil system.

Cabrinha Fireball is an innovative connection method for the next generation of kitesurfing. It’s minimalist design supports a fluid and friction free ball and socket connection. This non binding connection is made to harness the dynamic forces of a kite as it flies through any part of the sky. A Fireball-specific spreader bar is required, and can purchased for $99.

With all benefits guys try to call there are obvious negatives:
- proprietary and complex (the "cap"? Seriously?) spreader bar
- too long of the "below-the-bar portion" while everyone is aiming at mini-loops
- looks overly complex solution for what it is while guys aim at climbing grade simplicity
- next generation of kitesurfing is foiling and it takes a slider spreader bar and short chickenloop
- not sure if "next generation of kitesurfing" is supposed to mean no wakestyle, since the ball would be not good for unhooked either

"Life is too short for proprietary solutions"
"Simple is beautiful"

It must be obvious that this thing doesn't sell, you barely see even Cabrinha dealers using it. Bury it and move on. The Trimlite bar is awesome, bring us the mini-loop please.

Some poor newbies are going to buy all of these and regret later. I doubt the regrets is what Cabrinha wants.

+1

How long has it been on the market now? Almost 2 years? Over here you almost see no-one riding with FB.

There are still some issues too with the spreader bar damaging harness straps, and leash wrapping around the safety.
