slingshot fuel 15.5

Postby spam » Sat Mar 22, 2003 8:21 pm

just been out at cooden beach on the south coast and tried this new baby out. "all i can say this baby rocks" the wind was very light about 10 to 12 knots and the kite was so easy to fly it turned like a 12 metre so you could fly it around to generate more power. i cant wait to try it out in some real wind but if today is anything to go by its going to be awesome, i weigh 12 stone and was using a 140 north jamie pro and managed to hold the beach so if your going to buy a light wind kite i would recomened to have a look at this one also flying it on a 17 " bar only down side was the chicken loop crap release and you need arms like a baboon to reach the bar so have cut it off and put a stainles steel ring onit instead. :D

Agree totally re the release system. Doesn't work under load. Also lost the tip battens after they fell out early on. Otherwise the kite flies much better than last years model which I hated due to its slow speed and turning.
