Its been a while now, and some people has flown the 06 rhino. What are the preliminary coments. Cam battens, low end, durability, etc......A lot of the 2006 kites have curved tips....the rhino is supposed to be leading tech in kites for 2006....are the curved tips missing? Come on....share your thoughts.....please, lets have civilized objective coments.....

Of course, no problems with Cbows, isn't it?
What the hell are you doing with these cambattens, I use a R6 12 fo 2 months, no problems at all so far.
Don't buy this revolution-hype, Cbows are good for beginners and for waveriding when there is lack of skills. It doesn't do tricks for you!
Try the new Vegas06, and than maybe there will be newer bows on the market.

What kind of complaints they were making about the Cam Battens?
I have a 9, 12 and 16 and I personnally think the Cam Battens give the kite so much more stability and rigidity than last years.(I was fying the 16 in 5-8 mph and it wouldn`t fall out the sky...)
The low end has definetelly improved but I think they lost a little in high end due to a deeper canopy than last year.
Way more forgiving than last years too...
I think the 9 is my favorite because it seems to have more range , insane in the waves..
I can`t comment on the bar as I didn`t get any because I am so used to the old curved bar...
K...

I have put my 9 in the washing machine twice now (double overhead) and it survived ,on the other hand last year I dropped a Vegas 12 in waist high surfed and it wrecked 3ft in the LE and popped it so I think it really depends on how the wave hits it
On the Cam Battens issue it takes about 30 seconds to replace one and there is three spare ones in the bag

The most important thing about the Rhino 6 is the lack of a 100% reliable safety system.

The safety issue has been resolved short term and North have been fast to communicate this to teh customer through the dealer. All the bars we sold have been modified alond with any harness hooks that the customer has. A permanent modification is on the way.
Wahtever brand you ride, there will always be teething problems with kites, its how these are dealt with that counts.
The kites themselves are up there at the top of the advanced riders list, just like they have always been.
