Sols,,

I guess you're going to be trying to dis every post I make from now on?

sigh,,,

OK,,I'll answer till you get too boring, then you'll be ingnored.

On this poll there is no advanced choice that does not include intermediate,,,or a beginner's choice that dose not also nclude intermediate...

This is true...

So, there is no distinction by choice, as all choices overlap and include a beginner by default..

It's a sales thing,,,There is no wrong choice for any kiter by default.

Make solid posts,,and I'll not get bored with you..

Not a good start

Almost all beginners here,,,only 40 or so regular posters, if that.
Sorry but your explanations certainly don't convince me. You seem to consider that rare posters are beginner kitesurfers and very frequent posters are advanced riders. I don't share it.

My comments concern this pool and nothing else.

Isn't that clear ?
Bow kite (level beginner-intermediate) 8% [ 15 ]
C kite (level beginner-intermediate) 1% [ 2 ]
Foil (level beginner-intermediate) 0% [ 0 ]

Bow kite (level intermediate-advanced) 38% [ 69 ]
C kite (level intermediate-advanced) 37% [ 68 ]
Foil (level intermediate-advanced) 13% [ 25 ]

For me that would even suggest that there are no intermediate riders PARTICIPATING too. No beginners, no intermediate, just advanced riders.
Here, participating means voting and/or posting. There are certainly many visitors/readers that are beginners, at least I hope so otherwise we just loose our time here.

You say that "beginners have no way of knowing"... what kite to choose, if I understand you. Isn't kiteforum one of the ways of knowing what kite they will purchase ? Because at the time of purchasing, they will have to make a decision by themselves.

Anyway, it's just a pool on a forum, it isn't reliable by itself but linked to other pools and facts.

Regards
Bruno

No Biggy,,

I think most folks would not buy a known beginner kite,,

ever,,

They might try one, (expect a school to feature them) but not buy one.

I suspect they'd want to invest in the good kite, whatever that is...

the top of the line kite..

The poll would seem to support this veiw as well..

So who really can say?

but there's the motive for hype!!

I think this was a user forum, that other agendi fucked-it up...

Look at the gossiping,, the personal slams,,,

It's the retail dollars to be won or lost that create the motive for conflict here...

That's my opinion,,

Users and people who love kites: the designers,,,,that's who should post here.

Retailers should pay for ads and that's all,,

Ya-all can't be trusted,,,you've motive to slur, slag and bully,,

it's all ellbows between the ropes...

ya-gott-a bully your way or lose your place at the juicy-est teat..

It all comes natural when you've the (noble?) excuse of self preservation....

"it's for my children",, they'll tell ya,,smile,,

It's contentious,,,and the major hinderence to a sweet forum; what it used to be...

It's a slop-house in here some times...

Gossip,,the slander,,,finanical vendettas,,,bul-shit,,personal attacks,,,fuc-um all,, is what I say...

It's should be about keeping each other alive and shit like that..

Rant over...

I went c this year. Just ordered the RRD HIR's. Got a full quiver. I was going to get a bow quiver, then asked myself why? Other than full depower what can bows do? I think that the RRD's turn faster, boost higher, and are just as stable. I don't have gusty winds at my beach, so why go bow? I'd rather pump up a kite that is right for the winds, than be able to fly a kite in any wind. That's just me, I hope bow type kites get better and better. Maybe they are the future and I'll be left behind, but I'll be having fun. :thumb:

i guess there is confusion about how to read the poll.

what is in brackets: the description of the kite or the rider himself?

i believe bruno thinks it's the riders spec and fo thinks it's the kite spec.

or may be i'm totally confused? so how is it really?

It's all of that and neither,,,

I'm amazed at the choices???

Where isThe> I'm not buying a kite this year,, choice??

Or I'm looking to score the kite these dip-shits are dumping..

Where's that enlightened choice...??

It's a poll ,,, if ya like looking at someone else's stiffy...

I'll pass, I cast no vote

I know a couple of guys bought beginner kites, used ones, but opted for total piss easy kites to fly, they dont get in much so the learning curve is long.

Should be a poll for who has sold a kite latley would make a change
