I daily meet guys who love to see old school and big air. Also in comps.

Let's see what the forum user want to see in a competition or world cup.

I totally agree, with Toby this should be fun if we can get all along and have fun all together!
All "by the riders for the sport" What a great new slogan!

other/please explain:

first of all I am not a big competition viewer, because if there's wind, I like to be on water (at another spot), or if theres to less wind, comp is boring... :o

but from what I hear about it I would make one big exception: Kite Cross....

I would be very eager to see a comp in Kite Cross

And a kicker/slider comp would be also nice to see for me...

I voted to have as many as possible, however I don't think it is possible to have too many...

Big Air / Hang time as one...
Old school
Freestyle
Race
Wave

Maybe(Depends on event and participation etc):
Most progressive trick
Sliders
Speed

I think Kiteboarding will get the same way than Snowboarding or Skating.
The good riders aren’t competing they are going for Film and Photos.
Look at Dre or Vari
Comps. are good for rookies to get a name but then it is important to get the sickest part in the sickest movie.
Look at Ruben his results were bad this year but he put some sick vids in the net. Yeah and right now for me he is one of the best riders without contest.
Contests are boring for the viewer shitty for the rider (most of them are in bad conditions because of the sponsors) and a sport like kiteboarding were it´s all about style you can´t judge

AND in comp. judges decide in videos the people how buy the DVD decide witch one they but so if you wanne see big air buy the big air DVD
soo it is your decision

So f*** off comps. and
See you in the Future

I agree, there's a reason that of the top 10 contest riders, only about 2 or 3 are older than 20. Who needs it really, contests are stupid, how can you judge for style and creativeness? I like the races though and the kite cross seems incredible. Are sliders not already in freestyle contests? They should be...
