couldn't happen, everyone thinks this.. Maybe in Cumbuco or Paracuru, but there are hundreds of miles of beaches without ANY kiters!

No Idea wrote:Yorkey's Knob - Australia. You are kidding aren't you. Inconsistant winds, brown muddy water, no waves (1 foot slop at best) and no real flat water to speak of. There are alot better places to kite in north Queensland than Yorkey's Knob.
Come on No Idea you are just trying to talk people out of comin so the place doesn't get to crowded.

You forgot to mention the flying 3 meter crocodiles that come into houses and steal babies and the jellyfish with a sting that can kill you through a stinger suit. :thumb:

But seriously folks it is crap here do not come.

There are many great places to ride throughout the world. That said, any list of the "7 Kiting Wonders of the World" has to include The Gorge. Seriously. Where else does a 220 pound rider NEED a 7m in their quiver? :D Too much wind? Within a 1.5 hour drive there's access to flat water riding or hundreds of miles of Ocean beach...

Talking about sick as slick mirror flat waist deep sandy lagoons - not beaches

there are still tons of lagoons if you travel up the coast. Of course, Cumbuco and Taiba are packed. But you just need to come before or after November...

To ALL:

For all the "old school" windsurfers turned kiters, and to all the product testers of the years and to the owners of SlingShot, Windwing, distributors of North, Naish, and sometimes RRD

Where are you in the SUMMER.

Two Words.

The Gorge!!!!

And it's not on the list?

I don't even have to describe the place, the name just rings out, Gorge!!!
