Close buddy died while windsurfing in SPI in his 70's, had a heart attack. Died with his sunglasses and harness on. That's the way to do it.

On a forum I co-admin, there are quite a bunch of 40+s, they even starting to organise special events (kitehigh.nl), and you cant enter unless your 40 or older

That was very funny about buying a new kite every month on your social security earnings.
Somehow it just hasn't worked out for me that way. Been collecting those SS checks for 7 years, but have yet to be able to buy kites, boards, etc. with them.
So, I started a second career to afford the habit and I got certified (IKO - level 2 now). I make some spending cash by teaching kiteboarding (usually buy a new quiver every year). It's a great job, you can't have a better office, and there's nothin' better than helping to put that shit eating grin on a newly minted kiteboarder's face.

last try to grow up with my kids now who are 14 and 15 (both kite better than me) but have the feeling I am failing miserably as they keep telling me to grow up.
