Wow! I am happy to discover I am of average age (53). We are a tough generation. I had 2 heart attacks 6 years ago (just after 9/11 to name this date once again in this topic) and ruined my knee trying to do backrolls on a wakeboard track. Forgot to wet the ramp. Now I am taking it easy. Can't land unhooked kiteloops anymore. I stick to Very Old School moves.
There is just one kiter older than me at my spot (Scheveningen, Netherlands). Tony is 63 and therefore my great example.
Manfred (Manni) in Combuco Brazil is 69 by now and still kiting/teaching every day.
I met a Belgium guy in Brasil who took up kitesurfing lessons in Préa (choppy and every day 25-35 knots). After 3 days he was going upwind. 73 years. Big inspiration. Way to go, Jaques!
