Just curious how many folks here went straight into kiting vs how many crossed over from some other water sport (ie wakeboarding, sailing, windsurfing etc) vs how many have just added kiting to their existing quiver of water sports.

Straight into kiting would mean you were NOT passionate and consumed by any other water sport prior to kiting, passionate to the extent you are with kite boarding. Also if you were big into some water sports but quit for some time prior to starting kite boarding.

Crossed over would mean you were big time into some water sport and pretty much dropped shortly after you started kite boarding.

Added kite boarding to your existing quiver of water sports if you're still relatively passionate
and continue playing those existing water adventures.

Just for the fun of it.

I know I know I should be out looking for work :) I'm getting to it.

Depends how you decide how much doing other water sports constitutes "doing" it :)
Used to sail the summers when I was kid, did a little waterskiing, and tried windsurfing when I was in my 20's but apart from that, nothing ...

I see what you mean. I've modified the explanation a bit. Hopefully it's more clear cut.
