Did anyone already test them? How can you compare against last years (2009 and 2010)?
Cheers

softer bar feel, faster turning, still stable but sometimes backstalling when light wind... this is my view of the 9 mts in 1 hr of use with light, really light winds... also had the impression that flies more compact, i think due to the new material... and the valves are sick posh!!!
love the EVO again....
Hopefully tomorrow will get out with the 7mts... 25knots levante, still warm in Tarifa!!!
will keep you informed...

Just to get something straight: The EVO leans more towards a C-kite judging from their site. Does this means that it has more 'pull' trough the turns?
On the 2008 Rebel i find the lag (or stall) it had in the turns very anoying.
Riding mostly waves, i don't like this in a kite and switched back to 2008 Rebels ( 9m2 & 7m2)
For coming season i'm looking for a new kite since the 08's are starting to wear a bit.
Now the question is what is the best choice?
Also don't like the 5th line much, but when i look at the product compass on the North site, the Rebel eats up the EVO when it comes to turning abillity, which comes in handy in the waves.
What would be your choice?

I would say depends on conditions and style!
if you ride hooked in cross off - cross shore most then the new rebels are sick. A lot differerent and superior to 2008s.
if you ride more cross on - cross and mostly unhook the the evo is better.
both are super stable and awesome in waves.rebel depowers more and alot quicker on the bar and still turns when fully sheeted out making it real good for gusty wind and hooked in turns as you can lose all power off the top.
flies real far forward in window which makes for real good offshore riding but not so well in more onshore where the evo shines!
both are real good and a notch up from last year in my opinion.
super happy with my kites

Thanks Lee, great tip.
I usually ride side-on conditions, about 60% of the time. 20% side shore and 20% onshore, so EVO seems like the choice for me.
Does the feel differ alot since EVO is more bridled and the Rebel a 5th line kite?
