Thanks

Around St tropez in summer i think there is just St Aygulf (way to nice) or Almanare (way to Toulon).
2 problems in summer wind is quite light (thermals) and trafic jam!!!!!!!!! More you go east stronger wind and larger beaches

I think you can get out just around the corner from St Tropez at a beach called pampelonne. It's huge - and has some massive yachts in! But I'm not sure of the restrictions during summer.
Nearer to Toulon (slow roads) there is Hyeres. That's usually pretty good. Also Gigaro beach - nearish Cavalaire-sur-mer.
Locals might be able to advise on restrictions etc. I'd heard it wasn't permitted until September - but not sure.
Yep pretty light winds - but it does come up strong some times - I've a had a few sessions down there on holidays stacked on a 9.
Good luck and enjoy - such a nice part of the world!

Right now all beaches are banned for kitesurfing beside Almanarre and St. Aygulf (not suitable for Mistral winds). Usually light winds with occasionally stronger days when Mistral is blowing. Windfinder is a quite reliable forecast.
Off season (October onwards) I rode in the St. Tropez Bay and Pampelonne, which is both very nice in easterly winds.
In southwesterly winds Cavalaire is also good.
